Client:

Virginia Beach Economic Development

Developed for the Virginia Beach Department of Economic Development, the Central Beach Small Area Plan: A Vision for Central Beach  translates a wide range of community voices into a shared, implementable vision for a district positioned between established neighborhoods, major civic destinations, and the ViBe Creative District. Through a process rooted in consensus building, Dills Architects helped align residents, stakeholders, and city leadership around guiding principles that inform everyday decision-making long after adoption. Developed in partnership with Renaissance Planning and adopted by City Council, the plan functions as both vision and tool—providing clear guidance for city staff while remaining flexible enough to respond to change over time.
